Master's Club Overnighter Held Oct 19, 20

An challenging and intense (but fun) weekend was held for the Masters Club Members (black belts and select brown belts) at the dojo and at Pelican Athletic Club. 19 individuals participated in the event where they started off as judges for the dojo competition followed by a Pizza Party. After the competitors left, a pre-midnight workout was held which included timed push-ups (sensei won with 74 in one minute), timed sit-ups (Travis won with 49) followed by an hour of sweeps, throws and takedowns. A few hours or rest was had until 5:30am. The morning one mile run was timed with Ryan King and Brandon winning at 8:02 and 8:03 but all students finishing within 12 minutes. The students then traveled in the team van to PAC to train with strength and conditioning coach Chad Englehart of the Hester HS2 Program. Chad is a master of getting pro and collegiate athletes in shape and has helped sensei muscle up and drop his body fat percentage to 9.8%. The grueling hour and a half workout included many speed and explosive drills to increase a karate speed, reaction time, and balance.

17 individuals had the privilege of being invited to participate in the September 27 belt test. The two hour belt exam included Forms, Sparring, Basics, Board Breaking, and Sparring against three attackers for the brown belt candidates. The following were promoted:

Midwest workouts and PKC Competition

Sensei Dupaquier's spent a week during the Labor Day Holiday training at some of the premier dojos in the Ohio and Indiana area prior to the PKC Championships.

Sensei Dupaquier placed 1st in kata (forms) and 2nd in kumite (sparring) and won kata Grand Champion at the PKC Internationals in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mr Dupaquier was also an honored guest at the PKC Banquet.

19 individuals had the privilege of being invited to participate in the Thursday, August 23 belt test. The two hour belt exam included Forms, Sparring, Basics, Board Breaking, and Sparring against two attackers for the more experienced students. Ladies Self Defense Seminar

On Saturday, August 18, Travis Bush with the assistance of Black Belts: Monique Dupaquier and Micah James hosted a FREE two hour self defense seminars open to all females in the community. A fun time was had by all and everyone left feeling a bit more knowledgeable and confident. Our next workshop will be in September.
